However, SASSA would like to inform the public that this information is incorrect. The Agency further encouraged all media outlets to verify information with SASSA before publishing, to avoid spreading misinformation that could potentially cause confusion among beneficiaries.
The Agency also said it appreciates the statement from Lesaka Head of Sales, Mr. Simphiwe Phakathi, who has distanced himself and the company from the claims made in the article.
SASSA urged grant beneficiaries to remain vigilant, especially during the festive season, and to rely on official SASSA communications for updates on new initiatives and innovations.
