New leaders of the small buss operators ready to take the organisation into new heaights

The Free State South Africa National Small Bus Operators Council (SANSBOC) set a new tone last Friday after electing a new provincial committee at its conference held at Floreat Hall, Braam Fischer Building, in Bloemfontein.
The conference marked the end of the previous leadership term and ushered in a renewed mandate to strengthen and advance the small bus industry, which plays a critical role in community mobility and economic sustainability.
Free State MEC for Roads and Transport Jabu Mbalula, delivering a keynote address, emphasised the importance of small bus operators in supporting families, learners and workers.
“When we speak about small bus operators, we are referring to families who depend on this industry, learners and workers. Small bus operators are contibuting meaningfully towards the industry.” he said.
The newly elected board is led by Chairperson Ms Puseletso Modupi, assisted by Deputy Chairperson Mr Hlwempu. The leadership also includes Secretary Ms Chantel De Bruyn, Deputy Secretary Mr Lesia, Treasurer Mr Menye and Public Relations Officer Mr Morena Marumo.
Modupi told Pixley Independent that they are ready to take a fresh mandate and make sure that they implement strategic programmes that will surely advance the interests of the small bus operators.
Five additional members elected to the board are Ms Makgele, Ms Bonolo Kgoduga, Ms Fumane Matsunyane, Mr Pitso and Mr Oupa Kgolokwane.
The new leadership is expected to work more aggressively for the growth, protection and sustainability of the small bus industry, while promoting unity, accountability and improved service delivery across the province.
