The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) is currently enhancing and conducting maintenance work on the Online Grants Application system. in a media statement SASSA said the system has not been accessible from 12 to 17 September 2024 to allow the maintenance work to be conducted in order to improve its stability. During this period, members of public will not be able to apply for social grants online.
However, those who need to apply for social grants can still visit their nearest SASSA office for assistance. The maintenance of Online Grants Application system is an important undertaking to ensure its efficiency and reliability to stand the test of time in our resolve to pay the right social grant, to the right person, at the right time and place.
Clients are advised to call the toll-free customer care line on 0800 60 10 11 or email GrantEnquiries@sassa.gov.za should they have any social grant-related enquiries.
SASSA would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to their valued clients.
