The Economic Freedom Fighters “EFF” in the Northern Cape held its caucus and finalised the list of legislature committee deployments for the 7th Administration. The caucus confirmed recently that the Provincial Chairperson, Commissar Shadrack Tlhaole (Pictured) will remain the Party Leader and that Provincial Secretary Commissar Arthwell Zet Kwinana will be the Chief Whip in the Northern Cape Provincial Legislature. The caucus further confirmed the deployment of all members to the following legislature committees:
- Provincial Chairperson, Commissar Shadrack Tlhaole has been appointed as a main member of the following committees: (1) Agriculture, Land Reform, Rural Development, Environment and Conservation. (2) Finance, Economic Development and Tourism. (3) Rules. (4) Constitutional Affairs, Petitions & Public Participation. (5) Ethics and Conduct. (6) Public Accounts. (7) Review of Rules and Parliamentary Practice.
- Provincial Secretary, Commissar Arthwell Zet Kwinana has been appointed as a main member of the following committees: (1) Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs. (2) Safety, Transport and Public Works. (3) Premier & Legislature. (4) Programme. (5) Internal Arrangements.
- Provincial Deputy Chairperson, Fighter Moeketsi Konote has been appointed as a main member of the following committees: (1) Health and Social Development. (2) Legislature Budget.
- Fighter Sibongile Letebele has been appointed as a main member of the following committees: (1) Education, Sport, Arts and Culture. (2) Gender, Women, Children and Persons with Disabilities. The Whip will lead and guide the caucus to ensure full participation in the Legislature to hold the executive accountable and conduct oversight. The EFF in the Northern Cape has expressed its confidence in the individual and collective capacity of deployed Commissars and Fighters to add maximum value and ensure that service delivery is rendered to the people of Northern Cape.
