Sol Plaatje University staff have made their institution proud at the 2025 University Staff Sport and Wellness South Africa (USSW&SA) Annual Staff Sports Tournament, recently hosted by Nelson Mandela University.
The Volleyball team claimed a bronze medal in third place, while the soccer team advanced to the final against Cape Peninsula University of Technology and earned a silver medal after a close 1-0 match. Netball and Super Pool both achieved fourth-place finishes.
The institution said it was proud of the staff members for their dedication, teamwork and outstanding sportsmanship throughout the tournament and for representing SPU with pride and excellence.
