The Executive Mayor, Cllr. Rhoode Itumeleng in his capacity as Chairperson of the District AIDS Council (DAC), Co- Chairing with the newly elected Civil Society Forum Chairperson, Ms. Mandisa Manzi convened the DAC for its quarterly district meeting today.
Stakeholders from the various sectors were in attendance to collectively ensure the advancement of the fight against HIV/AIDS. The meeting received the following presentations: Department of Health – presentation on the Northern Cape Provincial Campaign Plan, SAPS Presentation on Environmental Assessment, newly elected CSF Introductions and GCIS presentation on the Action Plan.
Ms Mandisa Manzi, the newly elected CSF Chairperson did the Introductions of the newly elected Civil Society Forum members.
The mayor further acknowledged and thanked all the stakeholders that have committed themselves to continuously and consistently be part of the District Aids Council. “And to the new attendees may you return and stay committed to work with the forum in achieving its main objectives, to outline key priorities that needs to be focused on as a collective and lastly engage on reports & presentations,” said Cllr. Itumeleng
