The Office of the Premier recently had an opportunity to present how it facilitates coordination and collaboration efforts across departments, municipalities, national counterparts, and non-governmental partners, when a team of Senior Managers, led by Acting Deputy Director-General Ms Maletsha Tlaletsi, hosted the Common Purpose Non-Profit Organisation from Sol Plaatje University in Kimberley.
These mid-career academic and professional staff, who are part of this leadership development programme, gained insight into how leadership functions across various sectors to drive meaningful change and improve the lives of our people.
In welcoming these future leaders, Ms Tlaletsi highlighted that this engagement is about more than just dialogue – it is about connection, exploration, and insight as well as allowing these professionals to engage directly with senior government leaders, observe collaborative leadership in practice, and gain real-time understanding of how leadership operates across the many layers of our provincial ecosystem.
Ms. Jakoba Meyer, from the Office of the Premier, presented a practical case of intergovernmental collaboration and planning that will assist Provincial Government to achieve a Modern, Growing and Successful Province.
This engagement forms part of the continued collaborative efforts that the Northern Cape Provincial Government has with the Sol Plaatje University.
