The Speaker of Pixley Ka Seme District Municipality Cllr. T Sintu recently convened a successful Special Council Meeting at the Pixley Ka Seme district Municipality, Council Chambers in De Aar.
The inauguration of the newly elected councilors was the core focus of the special council meeting. ANC Cllr .Brenda Mpamba, ANC Cllr. Paul Charlies and EFF Cllr Sandile Makhandula vowed to honour their oath during the swearing in proceeding. The Executive Mayor Cllr. Rhoode Itumeleng congratulated the newly inaugurated councilors.
In an attempt to enhance and improve service delivery in the district the Executive Mayor Cllr. UR Itumeleng appointed Cllr. Brenda Mpamba as the new Member of the Mayoral Committee (MMC). The new MMC will be responsible for Public Safety, Climate Change, Revenue Enhancement and DDM.
