Oh no, Bloem Plaza Tenant Rooivingerhoed’s mascot, Ouma, lost her tray more than 5 years ago! So Bloem Plaza partnered with Rooivingerhoed and Chief Leeuw Foundation on a search for Oumas tray.
A Facebook competition in search for the tray was rolled out and the call to action was for shoppers to tell Bloem Plaza where they think they can find Oumas tray. The winner of the competition would win a R4500 shopping voucher for the charity of their choice.
Thanks to Siyamthanda Gxabhu’s Facebook (Miss Pure Sparkle SA Queen) suggestion on where Oumas tray could be, Menzi Old Age Home Palace were the recipients of the R4500 shopping voucher. The hand over was done at the malls exhibitions courts, where shoppers gathered together to witness the hand over. Chief Leeuw Foundationn had the tray hand made and it turned out to be the perfect fit for dear Ouma. Purpose Driven Queens graced the occasion and witness the moment.
Rooivingerhoed handed out 50x cupcakes to the Purpose Driven Queens, and this week they will be handing over a custom made big cake to Emzini Old Age Palace. Ouma is turning 28 years standing at Rooi Vingerhoed and it is part of the mall’s legacy. The official hand over happend on Friday at Bloem Plaza Promotional area.
