The MEC for the Northern Cape Department of Sport, Mangaliso Matika, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Kakamas Juventus, champions of the Northern Cape ABC Motsepe League Provincial Playoffs. In a statement, MEC Matika said that Juventus’ unwavering determination has earned them the honor of representing the province in the national playoffs for promotion to the National First Division.
Said Matika, “As you prepare to face off against the country’s top provincial champions from July 1 to 6 at Giant Stadium and the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria, know that the entire Northern Cape stands behind you. We believe in your skill, your spirit, and your ability to showcase the talent cultivated in our communities.
“Ahead of your opening fixture on the 1st July 2025, I look forward to personally meeting with the team in Pretoria to extend my support and encouragement. “It is important for our athletes to know that leadership stands with them every step of the way.”
Sports pundits in the province also wished the team well in their quest to bring that National First Division ticket home.
