Farmers in the John Taolo Gaetsewe District Municipality recently showcased their diverse products at a successful Marketing Day event. The showcase featured; Fresh vegetables, Artisanal sauces, pure honey, live chickens, animal feed, specialty coffee and other local products
In a statement the Department of Agriculture, Environmental Affairs, Rural Development and Land Reform said these marketing events aim to; Foster collaboration and networking within the agricultural sector, link farmers to industry partners and peers, promote business growth and above all contribute to economic development.
The initiative also emphasizes that farming is a business requiring professional management, rather than a hobby. By adopting this mindset, farmers can unlock their full potential and contribute to sustainable economic growth.
