Free State Premier MaQueen Letsoha \u2013 Mathae recently held a meeting with the Consul \u2013 General of the People\u2019s Republic of China, Mr. Pan Qinjiang.<\/div>\n

The meeting took place at the Free State house, in Mangaung. It was Premier Letsoha \u2013 Mathae\u2019s first meeting since she assumed her duties as the Premier in June this year. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss issues of common interest.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Premier Letsoha \u2013 Mathae used the opportunity to express her gratitude to the People\u2019s Republic of China for the donation of 11 generators. The donation took place recently in Kwa \u2013 Zulu Natal province and the generators will assist municipalities across the province which are currently faced with electricity challenges.<\/div>\n

\u201cWe are humbled and appreciative to have hosted Consul \u2013 General and his delegation. Our relationship with the People\u2019s Republic of China goes back many years and we share a common vision of empowering and emancipating our people from the bondages of poverty and unemployment.<\/div>\n

Our friends have demonstrated their commitment to strengthening our ties by investing in our province and providing employment to many of our people. We are pleased by their commitment to increase their investment in the Free State, which will result in the creation of much needed jobs,\u201d said Premier Letsoha \u2013 Mathae.<\/div>\n

\u201cOne of the problems we have is shortage of engineers in our municipalities who quit our institutions for greener pastures. These are some of the areas of concern that I believe when explored collaboratively the solution can be found to assist some of our distressed municipalities in the province,\u201d said Premier Letsoha \u2013 Mathae.<\/div>\n

Consul \u2013 General Qinjiang said he was privileged to have met Premier Letsoha \u2013 Mathae and extended an invite to the Premier and Members of the Executive Council present to visit them in Johannesburg.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
