This year also marks 70 years of the Women\u2019s Charter. The 1954 Women\u2019s Charter elevated women\u2019s rights to a new level of prominence. It emphasised the crucial need to prioritise women\u2019s liberation alongside the struggle for freedom, ensuring that women would not remain perpetually oppressed even after the achievement of democracy.
