Orlando Pirates Football Club Fans recently launched a supporter\u2019s branch amidst fanfare in De Aar. The launch event held at the multi-Purpose Centre saw full support from local \u2018Amabhakaniya\u2019 better known as the Happy People. The branch is open to all supporters in the Pixley ka Seme region who love and willing to support Orlando Pirates Football Club.<\/p>\n

In a statement the branch executive said the Pixley Ka Seme region has a rich football history, and it came as no surprise that a branch of one of the biggest soccer institutions is launched in this part of the country.<\/p>\n

The branch Organiser Khaya Menziwa told The Pixley Independent, “It has been a tough road towards the launch, but we finally did it. It is important to be part and be a member of the branch, taking part on its activities as this help members get to know each other well and become one big family.<\/p>\n

\u201cOrlando Pirates Football Club is one of the oldest, biggest and most successful clubs in South Africa and the African continent, with rich football history since its establishment in 1937. EzikamaGebhula ezagebhula umhlaba kaMaspala zaw’bhekisa phezulu have a lot of followers in our region and in the province, it was only right and befitting that there is formal official branch of this beautiful club in this part of the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

The newly elected executive of the Pixley Ka Seme Supporters Branch is as follows, Mr. Melumzi Nkumbi (Chairperson), Ms. Nathi Mphakama, (Deputy Chairperson) Ms. Nontsikelelo Tshaliti (Secretary), – Ms. Babalwa Madyo (Deputy Secretary) and Mr. Khaya Menziwa (Organiser).<\/p>\n
