The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) wishes to inform social grant beneficiaries and the public of revised payment dates for the November 2026 social grant payment cycle in light of the upcoming Local Government Elections.<\/p>\n
The revised payment schedule follows extensive consultations between SASSA and various stakeholders to ensure that social grant payments continue to be administered efficiently, securely and with minimal disruption during the election period. Following these engagements, National Treasury approved the revised payment dates, paving the way for the implementation of the new schedule.<\/p>\n
In terms of the revised arrangements, social grants will be paid as follows:<\/p>\n
SASSA emphasizes that the adjustment is intended to support the smooth administration of social grant payments during the period surrounding the Local Government Elections. The Agency remains committed to ensuring that eligible beneficiaries receive their grants in an orderly and reliable manner.<\/p>\n
SASSA further reminds beneficiaries whose grants are under review to respond to official communication from the Agency and attend review appointments when requested. The fourth-day payment on 05 November 2026 is specifically intended for beneficiaries whose grants fall within the review process.<\/p>\n
The Agency urges beneficiaries not to rush to SASSA offices unnecessarily, as grant payments will be processed according to the announced schedule. Beneficiaries should continue to use SASSA’s official communication channels for accurate information and guard against misinformation and disinformation regarding social grants information.<\/p>\n
